Are the Fossil Data Really at Odds with the Molecular Data/ Morphological Evidence for Cetartiodactyla Phylogeny Reexamined

The phylogenetic position of Cetacea within the mammalian tree has long been a subject of debate. Naylor and Adams re-analyzed O'Leary and Geisler's data set in an effort to better understand both the nature and the magnitude of the signal conflicts among their data partitions.
