The structure, photoluminescence (PL) and magnetic properties of the nanocomposites were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, PL excitation and emission spectra and vibration sample magnetometry. It is shown that Fe O @SiO @YP V O :Dy nanocomposites with a core–shell structure present excellent fluorescent and magnetic properties. Additionally, the effects of the magnetic field on the luminescence properties of nanocomposites were discussed.
