Copper-catalyzed C([sp.sup.3])-C([sp.sup.3]) bond formation using a hypervalent iodine reagent: an efficient allylic trifluoromethylation.(Report)

A newly developed efficient copper-catalyzed allylic trifluoromethylation reaction is presented. The proposed reaction provides a general and straightforward route to synthesize allylic trifluoromethylated compounds under mild conditions.
