This single-element PIFA has a height of h=5 mm, which makes it suitable for handheld applications and covers a wide frequency band from around 2.1 to 2.9 GHz for dB, therefore having applications in WLAN (2.45 GHz) and LTE and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) band (2.5-2.7 GHz), and can be used as a 4G terminal antenna for diversity and multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) applications .
